@masonblazin I am a avid hunter so don’t take this wrong. But our ancestors actually did a lot of trapping since it is a more effective way to get an animal then hunting is. So I don’t think they so much climbed into trees as they did setting a ass load of traps till they caught something.
However tree stands had to start somewhere. It’s not like they are a new idea, they are just growing more popular as times goes on.
